Google Analytics is a powerful, free web analytics tool that enables marketers and web developers to gain incredible insight into the performance of their website. There are some very basic steps that can be taken in order to get straightforward benefits of this tool, and if you have a more advanced understanding there is plenty more opportunity to use the full range of features.

The services Equi=Media provide are dependent on your needs, from basic set up through to ongoing consultancy on the use of advanced features and bespoke tag scripting.

Implementation
We can ensure that your Google Analytics account is set up effectively from the very start. This typically includes configuration of the account with Adwords and other media sources. It also includes technical assistance and guidance to ensure your web developers correctly add the tags to your website (we are happy to work directly with them to ensure this happens). This may include advice on editing the JavaScript to enable more bespoke use of the GA tag.

If you already have GA installed and set up, then we would recommend that we run an implementation audit to ensure that it has been done correctly and that your data is being tracked effectively. Highlighting any issues with implementation at this early stage can save a significant amount of time and effort further on.

Training
We can help to train your marketing and digital teams on how to use Google Analytics. This would take place using your own Google Analytics account and will include the set up of specific reports that your team expect to be of significant value. There is the opportunity for the training to fit your specific needs, but a typical ½ day session with one of our specialists would cover:
•    General overview
•    Dashboard and Basic Reports
•    Account set up - Goals, Funnels, Filters, Profiles, Ecommerce and Site Search
•    Identifying Traffic Sources correctly
•    Interpreting the data

Depending on the agreement we have, we can also be at the other end of the phone to answer specific questions as they arise.

Reporting and Analysis
We can help reduce the amount of time you need to spend looking at Google Analytics, get the most out of the readily available reports and add value through our own reporting documents.

  • We’ll set up your dashboard so it has your KPI’s displayed
  • Key reports can be set up to be emailed to you when you need them
  • Our specialists can monitor the interface and report on key trends and benchmarks
  • On a monthly basis we will provide you with a PowerPoint summary of the reporting period with Insights and recommendations included (A typical report is 10 slides and includes screen grabs from Google Analytics and commentary on trends and benchmarks).
  • Create custom reports and advanced segments for bespoke analysis.

Consultancy
