Businesses looking to increase their online presence by boosting their digital strategies may be interested to hear that email marketing can be more economical than other channels.
Jim Meyer, vice president of eTrigue, claimed that because email messages are more easily targeted than other forms of direct marketing they can provide a better return on investment.

Offering hints and tips for businesses about to embark on email marketing strategies, Mr Meyer told BtoB: "Use website visits and demographic information to tailor each message to a specific need or pain point and target appropriately.

"Get more specific over time by including fewer options in the form of information or links."

According to industry expert and spokesperson for the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ray Jones, businesses are becoming more aware of who is in their target audience and many firms are starting to use database technology to manage their customer´s information more carefully.
