2009/12/16
Recent trends in search marketing will forces marketers to adapt online options for their companies, according to an industry expert.
Writing on Search Engine Land, an online industry information forum, Andrew Goodman, author of Winning Results with Google AdWords, said that search marketing was less lightly to fall victim to the "black swan" effect, a phrase used to describe a rare event that can wipe out companies or technologies in a single day.
Mr Goodman advised creating aggressive new keywords for 2010, as well as using content targeting to reach audiences.
Advertisements on social networking sites such as Facebook can "also provide a source of highly targeted customers, in reasonable volumes, for the long haul," he added.
Mr Goodman also predicted that Microsoft´s Bingwith its pending deal with Yahoowill have a good year.
Bing became available on the iPhone yesterday and is available free of charge from the brand´s Application Store.
