Email marketing images 'must be viewable'

Email marketers should ensure that images included in advertising messages are viewable for all readers, an expert has said.
Jeanne Jennings, an industry commentator writing for ClickZ, said the blocking of images remains a huge problem for the industry and one that can impact on subscriber loyalty.
She noted her surprise that many brands and businesses are failing to make sure their messages are tailored to account for the fact that some images are blocked.
"If you don´t know what your email messages look like with images blocked, find out," Ms Jennings commented.
"Small, inexpensive changes to the way your email messages are designed and coded can have a huge impact on your results when images are blocked - and even when they aren´t."
Fellow ClickZ contributor Simms Jenkins recently said that email marketing messages can be effective in attracting and redirecting customers.
