Gavin Sinden
Digital Strategy Director
Gavin was appointed as Digital Strategy Director in 2006.
Previous to that Gavin was Managing Director of Digital Marketing Direct from March 2002. Digital Marketing Direct's clients include BBC, Opodo, House of Fraser, GCAP Media, Orange, Black & Decker and Royal Bank of Scotland amongst others. He is currently a lecturer on the E-Marketing Certificate for the Institute of Direct Marketing and sits on their exam board and digital marketing council.
Gavin came to Digital Marketing Direct after being Managing Director of Hyperlink Marketing Ltd. Their clients included Legal & General, Alliance & Leicester, CMC Deal4Free, Claritas, Credit Suisse, Asda, Britannia Music and Shell amongst others.
Prior to this appointment he worked as a freelance e-commerce Consultant. His clients included Alliance & Leicester, for which he was responsible for various elements of their e-commerce & Online Media strategy; Oxfam, where he planned their complete new media strategy and Norwich Union where he was part of the team developing the e-commerce wealth management strategy.
Before his own consulting experience Gavin was at Alliance & Leicester for four and a half years. As Campaign Manager he worked on the direct marketing of all banking products, both customer acquisition and retention, before becoming Marketing and Communications Manager for Credit Cards, where he was responsible for the launch of Alliance & Leicester's Money Back Credit Card. During this time he planned and managed various media campaigns from TV, radio and direct mail to taxi advertising.
His final role at Alliance & Leicester was as New Media Development Manager where he formulated the group's strategy for all forms of new media, including digital TV, mobile telephony, Internet, intranet and extranets. He instituted online applications from the Internet turning the company website from a plain brochure site to a trackable business channel.
