Matthew Mills began his career in travel industry marketing but quickly moved on to embrace technology within the marketing services industry with the pre-press revolution that saw the introduction of digital artwork and pre-press production. Matthew's next move took him back client side as Marketing Manager with Western Provident Association (WPA) ultimately becoming Private Client Director responsible for PMI, Dental and Cash Plan Portfolios. While at WPA, he went on to be responsible for the creation of the UK's first online health insurance operation as well as managing the companies credit card, critical illness and travel insurance products.
Searching for more innovation and creativity, Matthew returned to agency life with Proctor & Stevenson. Matthew worked on major online channel development projects for FIRSTPLUS, part of Barclays as well as the UK’s largest Private Equity financed FS start-up Picture Financial. Whilst at Proctor & Stevenson Matthew was responsible for the development of Intimis – a new generation one-to-one digital marketing platform working with clients like SAP and HP.
Matthew then went on to join TEQUILA\ London after the merger with TBWA\ GGT as Managing Partner. He soon took on Accounts such as Nissan in Europe as well as working at a global level on Interactive Marketing involved in CRM improvement projects globally. Whilst at TEQUILA\ Matthew also worked with GE to launch GE Money.
Matthew has a wide automotive and financial services experience having worked on accounts such as Peugeot, BMW & mini Financial Services, Nationwide, Bristol & West Alliance & Leicester, Clerical Medical and BUPA to name but a few.
With a life long passion for technology and it’s application in marketing Matthew can only be drawn away from work by his family and sailing, He lives with his young sons and wife Michelle at their home in Somerset.
