Another year has flown by at equimedia and in a constantly changing and evolving industry it can be too easy to be swept up in the pace of it all and forget all that we have achieved! We decided to pause for a moment to take stock of the key developments and achievements seen during 2015.
Econsultancy’s top 100 digital agency report
For the second year running we entered econsultancy’s top 100 digital agency report and were over the moon to retain our position as the second largest independent digital media agency. We also kept our place in the top 10 of UK digital media agencies, ranking 6th overall.
Digital Futures events
2015 has seen our popular “DigitalFutures” events go from strength to strength, with innovative and informative roundtables being held by our team of experts in London, Bristol and Swindon. On top of our regular Digital Futures events, we collaborated with the DMA to hold a special event at the Bristol Aquarium and we later saw one of our speakers, Matt Smith, go on to speak about programmatic advertising at the Online Influence Conference. More recently in November, and in addition to our regular event in London, we also held a special event in association with Google, which focused on the financial services sector.
And it wasn’t just equimedia that had all the fun… In July we held an introductory event, a 1-2-1 social media surgery offering advice to Bristol based charities on their social and fundraising strategies.

New business wins
Over the past year we have been thrilled to welcome on board some exciting new clients. Within retail we took on the re-build of the New York Bakery website, as well as launching an online media campaign to promote the new bagel-thins and pretzels products. Adding to our FMCG client base, we also recently welcomed Kabuto Noodles, and are eagerly waiting to launch their campaign early next year.
In the charity sector we joined forces with Age UK to take over their paid search and digital media activity for both the charity and the enterprise business. One Insurance Solutions, AJ Bell and St. James Place are just a few of the companies from the financial industry sector that we are also pleased to have started working with this year.
We value all of our clients old and new and are looking forward to continuing our relationships with them in 2016!
We have been rated on the RAR website for the first time and are extremely pleased to have received our clients’ endorsement. It means so much to us that our clients have taken the time to recommend us.
Our graduate programme has been a success with three graduates accepting full-time trainee posts at equimedia. During 2015 we have watched them rotate their way through the teams - learning valuable skills from each as they go and shaping their bright digital futures! We are now on the lookout for promising young graduates to join us in 2016 so if you would like to apply please get in touch.

Another exciting first for us has been the launch of our Digital Updates. These emails are a regular round up of insights into the world of Digital Marketing - helping to keep subscribers ahead of the curve in Digital Innovation and sharing our knowledge with client-side marketers who have signed up to hear from us. Coneygree winning the Gold Cup
equimedia is the main sponsor of the local Mark Bradstock yard and we have recently designed and built a new website for them, which they are delighted with. We had an exciting (yet tense!) day in the office watching Coneygree (one of the stars of the yard) go on to win the Gold Cup at Cheltenham in March as a novice chaser – we were very proud of Coneygree and all the team at Mark Bradstock Racing… and it was a great bit of advertising to have our logo all over Channel 4 on the day too!
16 years strong
Founded in December 1999 by Andrew and Louise Burgess, the end of 2015 also marks equimedia’s 16th anniversary! A lot has changed within the industry during this time, including seeing the rise of all things digital which is so integral to the marketing campaigns of today. equimedia’s new website
Another exciting time for us was the launch of our new website in May this year! Although the ethos at equimedia has stayed the same, our branding has changed over the years and you can see the evolution from our first site to the latest below.
Our new website is the perfect place to showcase what we do and 2015 has been the year of content. Our account management teams have been eagerly sending campaign details to us to create compelling case studies demonstrating the successes we create with our clients, day in, day out. Data + Technology + People = the equimedia difference
At equimedia we believe strongly that the people we employ are a vital component of the ‘equimedia difference’ – and what a great bunch of people they are – in and out of work! We have seen two of our team members Rob Wilde and Philippa Dunn train hard to run their first marathons this year and Stacey Wilson training equally hard to run her first half marathon - all three have taken part to raise money for charities close to their hearts.
Our very own Paul ‘The Mystery’ Wojciak trained intensively for 8 weeks to take part in a charity boxing match. After winning his match and raising money for charity, he has now hung up the gloves - taking his 100% win record into the history books! Also, this Christmas Jemma Davis and her family have kindly decided to forgo Christmas day and instead will be taking the time to hand out food, clothing and to provide a listening ear to the homeless people of Swindon.
