Since the Covid-19 lockdown businesses of all sizes have been struggling to cope with the changes in demand for their products and services.

The government are not alone to offer help to businesses.

Facebook and Google are helping by offering millions in ad credits and cash grants to eligible small business to help to keep their marketing going.

Here are the details;

Facebook Small Business Grants Programme

Facebook are offering USD$1m in ad credits and cash grants to help up to 30,000 small firms out during this difficult period. This will allow you to create and run ads on Facebook that are fully funded by the free ad credits or cash grants, meaning your business can continue to reach existing and new customers and might be the boost you need to weather the storm.

Facebook are due to begin taking applications in the coming weeks, for more information you can sign up to their updates here.

Facebook have also recently launched their ‘Business Resource Hub’ where you can find additional resources to help you through the COVID-19 outbreak.

Google – Ad credits for Google Ads SMEs

Similarly, Google are also offering $340m in ad credits to small and medium sized businesses during the pandemic to give them some financial assistance in their time of need. The ad credits can be used across Google Ads platforms (including Search, Display and YouTube) at any point until the end of 2020 and are a part of Google’s larger commitment to support SMEs, health organisations, governments and health workers who are fighting this pandemic on the front line.

To be eligible, you must be a small to medium sized business who has been advertising directly with Google since the beginning of 2019. Eligible businesses should see a credit notification appear in their Google Ads account in the next few weeks.
