Fundraising update:

I am pleased to announce we have reached the magic £1,800 fundraising halfway stage with plenty of time to spare. This has been achieved through generous donations from Equi=Media, staff, suppliers, trekkers and trekkers friends and family. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the two teams for the upcoming SENSE Ridgewalk so far.

Three successive bake sales have netted a total of £98 as well as widening people's waistbands and giving us the opportunity to capture some suspect looking poses. (Anyone would think they were staged!)

Fundraising efforts will continue and £3,600 is only the minimum target for the team. We will be looking to raise much more than this amount and every penny donated will be greatly appreciated!

Training update:

On Sunday 6th March the first group training walk took place. This gentle introduction consisted of an 8 mile round trip from Wroughton to Barbury Castle and naturally concluded with a well earned pint. It was a good opportunity to get an idea of the terrain the teams will be facing and Barbury Castle will definitely provide a fitting venue for the finishing line in 9 weeks time. Once again this provided another opportunity for some dubious camera work and posing.

We intend to gradually crank up the mileage over the next 8 – 9 weeks starting with a 12 - 15 mile walk in the countryside between South Cerney and Lechlade this coming weekend.

Further updates to follow…..
