Hot on the heels of Google's recent update to the integration of social results into search engine listing Bing have announced an update to their Social Search Results.
Rather than showing facebook likes below search results, which Bing have done since 2009, Facebook results are now shown directly next to the 'liked' search engine result. These results do not affect the ranking of search results.
This move from Bing highlights the hole in Google's recent update: Facebook likes! By including this, Bing comes up trumps, make sure that personal recommendations really count. All search engine marketers have to figure out now is the quality and weighting of social results.
