Digital ad spend has grown to £7.3bn in the first six months of the year, this was largely driven by a 27% year-on-year increase in video spend which totalled £1.32bn, making it the fastest growing format 1.
Google predicts that by 2023, 48% of all advertising will be video 2. So how can you exploit this?
Google recently released a new cost per lead gen solution via YouTube - the Form Ad. Although still only in the Beta stage, Google Partners have exclusive access to test this with their clients, as we've done with one of our financial services clients.
The YouTube Form Ads invite the potential customer to express interest in finding out more about a product/service by filing in the lead form.
This increases the likelihood of converting the user as they don't have to click through to a landing page to fill in the form, they can just enter their details immediately.
We recommend using a video that is 15 seconds or less in time length and we are more than happy to help with the production.
The Form Ads are set up via Google Ads (your Google PPC account) so as you would expect the YouTube ads have a direct significant positive impact on your PPC conversion performance.
After some initial testing, the YouTube Form Ads have exceeded all expectations and our client is delighted with the performance so far.
