Printerland work directly with manufactures including OKI, Xerox, Lexmark, HP, Epson and Intermec, and provides printer technology to thousands of businesses across the UK.

They wanted to develop an improved user experience, increase conversion rates and optimise the performance of the site across desktop, tablet and smartphones. They were particularly interested in increasing sales of “add ons” – cables, ink cartridges, etc., which can add significant profit margin to each sale.

Using a qualitative and quantitative approach to user journey analysis and page design equimedia worked closely with Printerland’s in house development team to carefully review the conversion through the website on various devices and to identify opportunities for an improved website design. It quickly became apparent that two key areas to focus on would be a more sophisticated shopping funnel and an improved customer experience on smaller devices.

equimedia refined the user interface so that key elements (such as the home page, the navigation and the shopping funnel) were less cluttered, easy to understand and optimised to offer a good user experience on all platforms.

The outcome is a site, which equimedia has designed and built alongside Printerland’s in-house development team which is fully responsive and designed to give a great shopping experience regardless of the size of device the visitor is using.
