A little bit about Mark Thelwall...
Mark initially joined equimedia in 2013 as part of our paid search team, before moving client side for 5 years. He returned to us in 2020 with experience heading up digital marketing for a well-known financial services brand, encapsulating activity across search, social, affiliates & aggregators and programmatic.
Mark’s experience across digital channels and how they work together with offline media, along with a desire to always keep ahead of future trends and innovation positions him well as our Head of Strategy & Planning. Whilst ensuring our day to day plans continue to drive efficiencies for our clients, he aims to provide a joined-up channel strategy that has its basis in long term planning.
What I do for fun
I like to spend much of my spare time eating a lot of snacks and playing video games.
I’ll often pretend that I enjoy going to the gym or out on my bike, eating nice home cooked meals and getting time outside in nature. Whilst I do these things, they are nothing but a cover up; nothing compares to the sheer joy of sitting in a comfy seat and seeing a lot of red in the nutritional information on food.
I do like to challenge myself and I’m currently trying to learn Japanese – though that’s still probably down to enjoying sushi and Pokémon.
