Britvic's Save Tango campaign is a success

2009/03/27
A marketing campaign by soft-drink manufacturer Britvic aimed at saving its Tango brand has been lauded as a success.
The Save Tango campaign was started last November and has caused an eight per cent increase in sales.

In a nod to consumers, the company has released a limited edition can that replaces the word Tango with Thanks.

The marketing campaign consisted of a mixture of online films, outdoor and billboard advertising as well as the creation of an interactive website.

A selection of memorabilia was also created and a protest march across London Bridge was organised, which was fronted by comedian Dom Joly.

It was recently reported that branding agency Underground has set up the Juice Brewery company which will manufacture a soft drink aimed at adults.

The Hopper is a "born in a brewery" soft drink and will be available in citrus, apple and blackcurrant flavours, which all have a "bitter twist of hops" and the look of beer when poured.
