Small businesses can boost their growth by engaging in promotion via email marketing, according to an expert.
Effective marketing can be the difference between success and failure for a growing company, said Eric Bailey on Helium.com.
He said the simplicity of collecting client data and building up sizeable business databases made email the most user-friendly marketing tool available.
"It is of the utmost important to be retaining the email addresses of those who voluntarily provide it. This then allows later communication to your entire previous customer base, free of charge, with the same unified message," said Mr Bailey.
Sending out knowledgeable newsletters on a regular basis is the best way to engage a target audience, he added.
Robert Dirskovski, former head of interactive media at the Direct Marketing Association, explained that email marketing is far more targeted than the traditional unaddressed mail approach, enabling businesses to enhance their response rates.
