Objectives

Redwood Bank is a specialist business bank focused on property loans and savings accounts for businesses and charities. Their website was not only difficult for customers to use, but it also delivered poor trust signals to Google, made updates almost impossible, and failed to address the information needs of Redwood Bank’s different audiences.

Our task was to deliver a new business-critical Umbraco site which was 100% CMS controlled and Search engine optimised, which delivered to the needs of Redwood Banks audiences, in two months.

Other agencies said it was impossible.

  • Improve site UX and site speed
  • Ensure site is 100% CMS controlled
  • Ensure site delivers to multiple audience needs
  • Consolidate and organise site content
  • Improve SEO and rankings
  • Increase site engagement
  • Improve conversions

Our Approach

We worked closely with the client through every stage of the project, starting with an evaluation of the old site against business objectives and search engine optimisation needs. This work helped define the new sitemap and the consolidation and removal of unnecessary content while ensuring we had rich pillar pages to service the search intent of all audiences.

The site design and UX process included a number of testing and feedback phases, at pace, to ensure we delivered fully mobile, desktop and tablet responsive modules to the developers.

As each component was approved, the developers coded them in the Umbraco CMS to be 100% editable, fully browser and device tested. This enabled the client to upload content quickly to ensure we hit tight deadlines.

The site was built within two months, fully tested, with all content populated, UX functionality in place and ready for deployment. The deployment included SEO migration support for all re-directs with new GA4 events set up and reporting metrics in place to monitor success.

“We set a significant challenge to be live in two months, and the equimedia team has delivered. Eight weeks from a decision to go ahead, to launch. Not just a migration but a new look and feel, too. It is incredible and something other agencies said couldn’t be done. The new site looks great, and the CMS is easy to use and is flexible in design. The redirects have been smooth. The launch was professional, slick, with no interruptions to customer service. I wanted to let you know this has been an exemplar of how to run a project at fast pace.”
