Microsoft is levelling up its Copilot advertising with interactive and personalised ad formats, aiming to boost engagement and ad performance.

Where are the new Copilot Ads available?

There’s a global expansion planned, and the ads are now live in English, French, and German—with Spanish and Japanese launching soon. However, we are yet to see this in any of our accounts, so we will be keeping a close eye!

What are the new format's features?

  • Showroom Ads: Immersive, interactive product experiences that mimic in-store browsing. Users can explore, ask questions and even make purchases—all within Copilot.
  • Dynamic Filters: Smart filters that refine search results without extra typing, these have already began piloting in English markets.

The ads are fully immersive allowing the user to ask questions about the products they are seeing and get answers and information about the product as they browse and delve deeper.

For example in a shoe ad users can explore shoe specs, ask questions such as: “Is this sole really as good for running as it is described?”, and get transparent, nuanced answers—backed by AI but unaffected by sponsorship.

Why are these changes important?

  • Copilot ads show 25% better relevance than traditional search
  • There's the potential for higher click-through rates and conversion rates
  • They provide a more natural and trustworthy ad experience

These updates mark a major step forward in conversational advertising. With richer interactions and smarter targeting, Microsoft is helping brands meet users where they are—mid-conversation.
